In TV land, the spot is effective at delivering a message, although I'd hesitate to place Flo on the same level as Geico's gecko. More importantly, how much did Progressive spend and what was their return? I see Flo everywhere, and my policy term just passed, but Geico's simple email reminder and 2-click renewal transaction trumped any desire to switch. I like my rate and policy options. Progressive needs to do more. How about a savings calculator that reads a PDF of your existing policy and quickly replies that "you can save $XXX with Progressive right now, and we'll pay your cancellation penalty?"
