Want to Reach C-Level Executives? Then You’d Better Be Online!
Many of us have the image of top executives mired in a print universe. We may have supposed that these senior leaders had neither the time nor the inclination to spend on the Internet. It turns out that that is a mistaken assumption which may be getting in the way of successful marketing efforts.
According to an article in, Online Media Daily,”America’s business elite, the so-called “C suite” that run our country’s medium and large size businesses, are changing their personal media habits and spending much more of their time online.”
Research conducted among 2390 top business executives proves that they “are heavy users of what we think of as traditional media, such as television, newspapers, and magazines, but they are also getting more deeply into the digital space, not only the Internet itself, but streaming video, blogs, podcasts, and the like.” (Hugh White, vice president of Ipsos MediaCT)
Here are five fascinating findings that Online Media Daily highlighted from the study:
- 57% buy products and services online
- 49% have streamed or watched broadband videos on their PCs
- 72% agree that being tech savvy is vital to their business success
- 72% agree that a business publication’s website is an essential component of its core content
- 30% read blogs and 4% contribute to blogs
